    Cody, Rascal, Sassy, and Cheyenne trotted at the far end of the pasture. They played. Rascal and Cody nipped at each other in mock battle. Sassy and Cheyenne trotted together as if dancing. They eventually stopped and enjoyed the lush green of the grass. A light, warm spring breeze blew. The sun sat high in the sky. Other horses grazed in other pastures across the road. The temperatures had not gotten high enough yet for mosquitos and other pests to bother the horses. Toads croaked from a nearby slough. Cody sneezed as the grass tickled his nostrils. The barks of a dog could be heard, though it sounded distant.
