Arrival of the Arabs

Jameson led the herd into the sand dunes, thi was home to them, the desert. He reared on the ridge of a large dune and declaired his ownership of the land.
The other horses whinnied in reply to his decleration, knowing he would keep their herd and family peaceful.

Cream, Shine, Dust, Donna, Jess, Beauty, Sabino and Fire Heart galloped through the desert with Solo leading the way with his beautiful white tail flagged and flowing behind him. His sister, Delicate, followed cloesly behind them. The 10 arabians stopped as Solo did.

Solo pricked his ears then slightly lowered them as he saw another herd of arabians.

Delicate walked up behind him. Even though she was his sister, she wasn't actually apart of his herd. As she didn't want to be. Delicate was looking for her own herd to join, without her brother constantly watching over her. Delicate sighed softly then trotted off from the herd, for a wander.

Legend's head whipped up and turned towards the herd, his gaze swept the Arabs before him and settled on a beautiful mare, her grullo colouring standing out from the rest, his harsh eyes softend slightly. He tore his gaze away before the others could see.

Manx shifted his weight from hoof to hoof, looking through narrowed eyes at the other herd.

The mares, beside the gorgeous chestnut, Sarafina, were herded together by Jameson. Arrow hid under Cupid's legs and Angel, the little orphan filly, hid behind the closest mare, Mist Dancer.

Poison braced himself and looked towards the stallions, sizing them up, while Kim perked and smiled sweetly towards the strangers.

Tishk watched Sabino, the well muscled colourful stallion who's muscles rippled when he moved.

Sarafina watched Solo, the lead by the looks, he was a handsome cremello. Fina snorted and looked to see what Jameson would do about this.

Solo watched the other herd cautiously. He didn't want to fight but if they tried to steal any from his herd, including the other stallions, he would attack.

Dust raised her head proudly and looked over at the oter herd and she watched Legend for a while before she watched Delicate walk off and she cantered after to her. She flicked her tail lightly and slowed beside her"what's wrong?"she asked her

Delicate looked at Dust"nothing, why?"she replied with a question
"you just seem down, is all"Dust said and smiled warmly

Cream looked over at the other herd, she mainly watched Manx.

Sabino looked over the other herd with great curiousity and he shook his mane with a light snort before his eyes finally rested on one mare, who was watching him. Tishk.

Ash and Coal watched the other Arabs before looking at each other, the twin brothers felt no challenge from the other stallion.

Legend returned his pale blue eyes to Dust as she talked to another mare, the mare was pure white and her coat shone in the hot desert sun.

Jameson walked towards the other lead, he stopped just short and looked him levelly in the eye. 'I am Jameson, lead of the land.' He announced. He studied Solo's body language, there was a protectivness about him yet it didn't apear that he wanted to start a fight.

Sarafina watched the two stallions carefully, she rubbed her muzzle on her leg to releave an itch before trotting over proudly, her long mane letting air cool the sweat coverd neck beneath it. She stopped by Jameson's flank and looked at Solo.

Manx caught Cream's eyes on him and smiled before lowering him head to nuzzle the bright red sand. He felt slightly relaxed now that Jameson was.

Solo bowed respectfully"I am Solo, and this my herd. We don't wish to start a fight, we have merely just wandered through the land."he said and rised, he glanced at the mare and smiled, just in a friendly but respectfuly way.

Dust smiled at Delicate and then looked back at the other herd, catching Legend's eye she quickly looked away. She never has been good around stallions she didn't know.

Delicate watched Dust then lookd over at Legend with a slight smile, then she looked forward again.

Cream smiled at she watched Manx then slowly and reluctantly looked over at Solo

Jameson smiled, "You are welcome to stay as long as you mean no harm." He smiled then felt Fina's breath on his rump, he looked back at her.

Sarafina blinked, but her expresion stayed the same. She stepped foreward and inclined her head in respect, "I, am Sarafina." She rose her head and looked him in the eye.

Legend smiled back at Delicate and then trotted to the mares, he hooves spraying sand around his legs.

Manx sighed heavily and stood, his nech arched in the bright sun, he was craving grass and he could only just see an oasis in the distance.

Solo smiled at Jameson"thank you very much"he said then looked at Sarafina"what a beautiful name"

Delicate and Dust stopped and they watched Legend come closer to them.

Ceam looked back at Manx and watched him before she sighed heavily and looked at the sky


suddenly a jet black arabian mare galloped past them followed by another jet black arabian mare.

Legend skid to a stop as she saw the flash of two jet black mares, sand sprayed out around him and her reared, standing tall on him powerful hind legs.

Sarafina smiled sweetly, a small smile that quickly dissapeard as she spotted the mares. Swinging around sharply she screamed and paused on her haunches before leaping towards the gathering of the herds mares.

Manx woke from his day dream abruptly and narrowed his eyes at the black mares.

The mares shuffled around restlessly and the foals whinnied.

Jameson watched the mares and his muscles tensed, he looked back at Solo. "Are they with you?" he asked calmly.

Solo watched the mares then shook his head"no they are not"he replied and he watched them

a little way away from the two herds the two mares skidded to a stop, sand spraying everywhere and they shook their coats, ridding the sand and looked at eachother. They were twins. one mare plain black one with a star. Midnight, the one with the Star looked back at the two herds with a snort and flicked her tail, looking away sharply. Whilst Black Dawn, the plain black looked back at them and watched them. Then the two mares continued, but walking.

Legend snorted and landed. He looked around him before continuing on towards the mares. He stopped before the, "I am Legend, and what may your blessings be?" He asked, a hint of a smile onn his lips.

Sarafina, sure now that the mares were safe, wanderd towards Solo and Jameson again. She stopped just keeping a small distance between her and the stallions and stood square. Here pure Arabian blood showing in her beautifuly dished face, bannered tail and arched neck.

Jameson looked over to Fina, she looked a bit nervous. He turned back to Solo, "Make yourself at home," He smiled, though the emotion did not reach his eyes. he looked towards the two black mares. He decided to let curiousity get the better of him and he took off at a steady canter after the two sillohettes.

Manx snorted into the sand and grunted. He sighed before looking back to the Oasis, he started to walk towards the lush green blur.

Delicate smiled at Legend"I'm Delicate"she replied warmly
"And i'm Dust"Dust replied with a slight smile and she flicked her tail and watched Legend"ut's a pleasure to meet you"

Solo nodded softly then watched Jameson then looked at Sarafina and smiled


Midnight saw Jameson coming towards and she stopped with Black Dawn by her side. Midnight pinned her ears but Black Dawn nipped her firmly and watched the stallion with great curiousity

Jameson halts before the duo, "Greetings, just curious as to what two dear mares would be doing trespassing on claimed land." Jameson smiled warmly at the two.

Sarafina looked back at Solo, her stance not changing but she relaxed slightly. Breathing in the humid air she blinked to clear her hazy vision.

Legend smiled warmly, "Pleasures mine, Dust," He nodded toward the mare, "Delicate." He nodded towards her.

Manx was sweating moderatly as he walked through the desert, it was VERY hot. He groaned and continued walking.

Midnight snorted then said"what's it to you?!"
Black Dawn sighed heavily then looked at Jameson"we didn't realise this was claimed land, we are very sorry. Or atleast i am."she looked at Midnight who snorted again and looked away

Dust smiled warmly tehn stretched her neck out softly and brushed noses with him
Delicate nickered softly

Jameson smiled, "'Tis okay as long as you do not cause trouble for me," He directed his gaze towards Midnight.

Sarafina sighed and suddenly felt exauhsted, her forelegs gave at the knee and she kneeled on the sand, then her back legs folded up beneath her and she dropped to the ground. There she lay for a while, resting on the hot sand.

Sand Storm wtched Sarafina and walked a few steps toward her, prepared to guard her.

Legend smiled at the warm touch and shook his short spikey mane, sand freed itself and fell to the ground.

Manx got closer to the oasis when he felt a burst of speed move through his muscles, he tore off towards it and arrived a few minutes after the long gallop.

Solo lowered his head, worried"are you alright?"he asked softly

Dust pulled her head back and smiled at Legend

Midnight glanced at Jameson and snorted again
"II'm Black Dawn, and this is my troublesome twin, Midnight"Black Dawn said and smiled warmly

Sarafina smiled up at Solo and nodded politely. She kicked the sand about withh a foreleg in the sand.

Jameson smiled and nodded, "I'm Jameson." He introduced himself with a gallent bow.

Legend looked around the herd to be sure everyone was okay, he spotted Sarafina lying on the ground. He looked at her curiously before dismissing any worry. She was the strongest mare in the herd and probably the strongest out of the stallions too.

Manx reached grass and trees and a wave of relief washed over him, followed by shadows. He walked through towards the center of the oasis to find a spring but stopped dead in his tracks. By the cool clean water stood a beauiful mare of mahogany bay. She whinnied and reared at her reflection in the shallow water.

Solo chuckled softly then looked over at Delicate and Dust and saw Legend with them, he snorted softly, but let it go. He could take them if he wished the two weren't really part of the herd.

Dust and Delicate smiled at Legend then Delicate looked over at Solo, who was looking at her and Dust. She looked back at Legend
Dust sighed softly, she didn't know what to do.

Sarafina lurched herself to her feet and shook off the desert sand. She reached out to touch her muzzle to Solo's, curious about his scent.

Legend smiled and was about to say something when a shrill whinney was heard, the sound came from the oasis. He looked over and say two magnificent bays galloping over, one was Manx.

Dust and Delicate shiftly looke over at the two bays, one they recognised from the other herd, the other they hadn't seen before.

Manx slowed to a canter, then a trot as he approached the herd. "Oasis, this is the herd, and this," He nodded the the other horses. "Is another herd we just met."

Oasis smiled shyly, her build was slender and absolutly stunning. Her bay coat shone like the full moon. She nodded politely to them all. "I am Oasis," She spoke, her voice soft and gentle as feathers brushing ones cheek.

Sarafina, after taking in Solo's scent turned to the new glossy mare. She stepped foreward. "Sarafina." She said the one word with much pride.

Solo walked over to them, he just hoped, they wouldn't mind"I'm Solo"he said and bowed respectfully.

Sabino watched the others then sighed softly

Midnight watched the other horses then snorted once again and looked over at Legend, Dust and Delicate. The white mare, was absolutely stunning but the other mare was gorgeous! The stallion was so handsome too. But that was just what she thought, not like she liked him, or anyone else for that matter.
Dawn smiled at Jameson then brushed noses with him softly.

Jameson returned the guesture and smiled. He looked to see a new mare, curiousity growing.

Sand Storm looked over and smiled as a pure black mare came into his sight. She had a small white marking on her elegantly dished face and the way she held herself was adorable. He sighed and looked at Oasis, the newcomer.

Sarafina looked over at Solo as he aproached the new mare, a strange feeling grew in her somach but she pushed it away with a snort.

Tishk returned her gazed to Sabino after a while and studied him.

Dawn watched Jameson then nudged him softly"go say hi."he said with a smile, she wasn't being rude she could just tell he was curious

Midnight then saw Sand Storm and she watched him closely, he was...absolutely gorgeous!... As She saw the stallion looking over at her, she quickly looked away, embarrassed...what the? she never acted like that!
Dawn laughed at Midnight as she watched her

Sabino caught Tishk's eye and he smiled charmingly. his smile was breath taking. He then walked towards Tishk.

Jameson smiled and nodded, he walked gallently towards Oasis, "I am Jameson," He smiled kindly.

Sand Storm chuckled lightly, slightly flattered by Midnight's shyness. He kept watching her, his eyes kind and gentle.

Tishk smiled softly as the stallion, Sabino, approached her. Her heart fluttered for some reason and unsure of herself, she lowered her head.
